Subject: 'St Peter's, Lapal Church - Brick Church'
Aim: To create a logo for the church monthly activity 'Brick Church'
Brick Church is a monthly activity for families at St Peter's, Lapal, it is centred around Lego, and made for families to have their children interact with the church in a fun and safe environment. This was project had to be completed in a quick turnaround of about 3 days. As such I didn't go through my regular procedures to create research boards to help along the designing process, I only took the current St Peter's logo as inspiration, wanting my design to still look like it was a part of the church. At first I wanted to design something as simple like a Lego cross, but after looking over the church logo, I noticed how the key ends in that logo had little crosses in them, I thought this would be a perfect shape for the Lego structure allowing the negative space to create the Christian cross. I then used the colour palette, to colour the bricks in the logo differently from one another while keeping the branding the same.
